How do I know if I am an expatriate?

An expatriate is a U.S. citizen or resident who worked outside the U.S. and earned income abroad.

How do I know if I am a foreign national?

A foreign national is a non-U.S. citizen who worked or studied in the U.S. and received income and or scholarship monies from the U.S. This includes all visa holders, including, but not limited to: H1B, L1, J1, F1, O.

Yes. We can go back as far as needed to prepare returns for prior years.

How do appointments work?

Appointments can take place at your place of business (NYC area only) or via phone, email, and fax. In-person appointments last approximately one hour.

What information does my iTax preparer need from me?

You preparer will need to see all relevant income statements for the year (i.e. W-2's, 1099 forms, stock sales, etc.), and all expenses related to your employment and your principal residence if you own your own home.

How are preparation fees determined?

Fees are based on the complexity of the return(s). After we review your information, we will provide an estimate prior to preparing your return.

Payments can be made by check, credit card (via PayPal), and cash.

Are my tax preparation fees deductible?

Yes, in the year they are paid if you itemize your deductions. For example: The fees to prepare your 2006 tax return will be deductible on your 2007 tax return.

When will the final return be delivered to me?

Once all relevent information is received, your completed tax returns will be sent to you within several weeks.

What are the delivery options?

Tax returns are typically delivered via Federal or Global Express. If requested, we will drop off and review the returns with you in person at your place of business (NYC area only).
